Find shelter faster for survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence,

and sexual assault

Light and Shadow

We're expanding to include
organizations that support
runaway and homeless youth

The Safe Shelter Collaborative turns hours of searching for appropriate shelter into minutes

Your supporters can pay
for your client’s safe night.

The Safe Shelter Collaborative increases

the number of available beds and streamlines

the process for finding them.

Locate Shelter

When an individual needs shelter, a professional responsible for placing survivors sends one notice that reaches participating regional agencies. The notice includes enough non-identifying case information so an agency can respond with a placement.

Fund Shelter

When there isn’t available shelter and the agency has protocols in place to use hotels as emergency alternative housing, a case manager can send an alert to potential donors via SafeNight, a free downloadable mobile app, to pay for a hotel stay.

Expand your capacity

Agency staff have opportunities to learn from their peers and from experts in the field during free webinars on topics such as using hotels for emergency shelter and expanding  services to support survivors of human trafficking.

"I just think it's fast."

What agencies are saying

“I believe that this is an amazing tool that assists us in being more efficient when searching for emergency shelters in an already very difficult time for our clients.”

“If our shelter is full, we can still offer services by offering a hotel stay or finding space at another shelter.”

“A transgender client was able to do one intake and find shelter. That was unheard of prior. With the training and the ease of the app our clients are not judged and accepted more openly.”

The Safe Shelter Collaborative
is growing.

Sheltering agencies are forming Hubs across the United States and using the Safe Shelter Collaborative to fund safe emergency shelter when hotel stays are the best option.

If you see a region your shelter should join, or you'd like more information on what it takes to create a new hub of agencies in your area, please get in touch with us.
